The quality of your vision is completely dependant on the health and fitness of your eyes. Most of us would not give our eyes much thought until maybe something goes wrong.

Fortunately, most of the time your eyes will tell you when they have a problem.
- You have red or inflamed eyes, they are really sore, or you are getting a lot of headaches.
- You can’t read the captions on the TV because they are blurry.
- You experience a sudden loss of vision in one eye. (In this case see your optometrist immediately)
- or you simply can’t read the restaurant menu or the paper without strain.
A lot of these symptoms are typically, but not exclusively, confined to particular age groups.
