Eyecatchers Optometrists in Southland is seeking a full time optometrist to join the team.
You’ll be practicing broad scope clinical optometry. An interest in glaucoma, keratoconus, and vision therapy would be an advantage.

About Us
Eyecatchers Optometrists is a fully independent, premium, full scope optometry practice that was established in 1979. Our main practice is in Invercargill, a city of around 40,000 people, which services the rural based province of Southland. We also have a practise in Gore, which is a rural township of 20,000 people, servicing the Eastern Southland district. In total, we service the optometric needs of a population base of 90,000 from throughout Southland.
It has been estimated by 2020, people over 65 will represent 20% plus of the total population of Southland. This compares with a figure of 12% in 2001. The demand for optometric services in Southland will therefore steadily increase.
We provide full clinical services with modern instrumentation, including:
- Canon digital retinal camera
- Medmont visual field analyser
- Medmont corneal topographer
- Zeiss GDxVcc and Zeiss Matrix
- Topcon slitlamps with digital photography
The Team
The Invercargill practice has a practice manager/dispenser, receptionist/dispenser, and a part time optical technician as support staff. The Gore practice has a full time receptionist/dispenser as support staff.
